Experience Matters. Protection Engineered, Not Just Applied.

In an industry where pop-up shops come and go, Paint Defender has stood as Montgomery’s authority on automotive preservation for over 19 years.

We don’t just stick film on cars. We are Surface Engineers. Whether it’s a daily-driven Tesla Model Y or a Ferrari 812 GTS, we apply XPEL Ultimate Plus with surgical precision. Our installers utilize the XPEL DAP (Design Access Program) to customize patterns specifically for your VIN—extending edges to wrap around panels whenever possible for a seamless, invisible finish that standard ‘kit’ installations can’t match

XPEL Ultimate Plus (Gloss)

The industry standard. Matches your factory clear coat perfectly, disappearing onto the paint while providing a self-healing barrier against rock chips.

XPEL Stealth (Satin)

The ultimate shield for satin finishes.

  • For Factory Matte Paint: This 2021 Ferrari 812 GTS features factory Grigio Matte paint. Like all ‘Frozen’ or Magno finishes, it cannot be buffed if scratched. XPEL Stealth is critical armor that locks in the pristine condition of the paint without altering its unique sheen.

  • For Gloss Cars: Stealth can also transform standard gloss paint into this stunning Satin look without the hassle of a vinyl wrap.

XPEL Colored PPF (New)

The evolution of color change. Unlike thin vinyl wraps that scratch easily, Colored PPF offers 8-mil thick, self-healing protection in deep, high-gloss colors like Miami Blue or Nardo Grey. It looks like wet paint, not a sticker

Select Your Level of Armor

We have curated these protection packages based on over 19 years of experience with Alabama roads. Whether you need essential frontal defense for daily commuting or complete coverage for track use, we have a solution tailored to your vehicle.

  • Standard Pricing: Prices below reflect standard vehicles (e.g., Tesla Model 3/Y, BMW 3 Series) in Gloss Clear.

  • Exotics & Trucks: Larger or more complex vehicles may vary slightly.

  • Stealth & Color Change: Please add roughly 10% for XPEL Stealth or Colored PPF packages. These films require higher material costs and additional labor for custom edge-wrapping to ensure the original paint color is fully concealed.

Precision Patterns

We use XPEL’s DAP (Design Access Program) Software, but we don’t just hit ‘print.’ We manually customize every pattern to extend edges, allowing us to wrap the film around the hood and fenders wherever possible.

This ‘Custom-Fit’ approach hides the seams that standard kit installs leave visible, creating a cleaner, invisible shield that looks like it came from the factory.

Common Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) & Expert Answers

Will the film turn yellow?

No. We use XPEL Ultimate Plus, which features non-yellowing, UV-stable technology. It is backed by a 10-year warranty against yellowing, staining, and delaminating.

Absolutely. Love bug acid can etch clear coat in hours. PPF provides a chemical-resistant barrier that prevents the acid from touching your paint.

Think of it as a “Sacrificial Layer.” While it isn’t literally bulletproof, it is designed to absorb the impact energy of rocks and debris so your paint doesn’t have to. If a large rock hits it, the film might damage, but your factory paint underneath often survives unscathed.

We recommend hand washing or touchless washes. However, the film is durable enough for automatic washes, though frequent use may introduce swirl marks (which the film will self-heal over time with heat).
